A PRESTWICH man who hurled drunken abuse at Fairfield General staff while being treated has been given a suspended sentence.

Carl Trousdale, 37, was ordered by a district judge to seek help with his drinking after the outburst on May 26.

Trousdale, of Roman Road, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour towards a ward sister and nurse, assault on a ward sister and harassing two security guards.

District judge Bernard Begley imposed a 26-week prison term, suspended for 18 months.

Trousdale was also given a nine-month alcohol treatment condition and ordered to take part in 25 rehabilitation activity days.
