A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the head, neck and arm.
Police officers were called shortly after 7.50pm to the report that a man had been stabbed at an address on Lower Hollin Bank Street, Blackburn.
The victim, 35, suffered stab wounds to his head, neck and arm was taken to Royal Preston Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
At around 9:30pm, a 25-year-old woman from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Another woman, aged 20 and also from Blackburn, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They both remain in custody at this time.
Enquiries are on-going to trace a man believed to have been involved in the incident.
