HOSPITALS across East Lancashire were lit up in blue on Saturday night for an act of remembrance and reflection for those we have lost during the pandemic.
The NHS was celebrating its 72nd birthday on July 5 but on the previous day, there was a call for the nation to come together to pay their respects to people who lost their lives.
It was a chance for the nation to come together and pay our respects and was being led by the Together Coalition.
On Saturday night, Royal Blackburn and Burnley Hospitals were lit up blue like iconic landmarks around the country including the London Eye, Blackpool Tower and the Wembley arch.
On the actual birthday on Sunday people were called to clap for the NHS for the work helping people’s lives
