A TRIAL has been fixed for a Bury man after he denied dealing in hard drugs.
Imran Ali, 39, of Killon Street, pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine in Bury between November 26 and June 9.
Ali also denied being concerned in the supply of heroin and cannabis, on similar dates, during a brief appearance at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
Judge Sophie McKone remanded him on bail for a trial to take place, over an estimated three or four days, starting on December 7.
No pleas were entered by his co-defendant, Sibtain Javed, 31, of New Cateaton Street, Bury, who is also facing acccusations that he was concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis over a seven-month period.
Defence counsel Steven Sullivan told the court a conference was still to be arranged with the defendant so full instructions could be taken.
Judge McKone remanded Javed in custody until October 1, for a further plea and trial preparation hearing, when he will be expected to answer the charges in full.
