DURING the coronavirus lockdown we've all spent a lot of time indoors staring at the same four walls and screens or taking the same old walk around the park.

Now a Whitefield sports club is inviting people to beat boredom and get out into the open to enjoy some classic films at an outdoor Community Cinema Club.

Families, friends and couples can grab their picnic blankets, camping chairs and popcorn and head down to Sedgley Park RUFC for a series of film screenings between August 5 and 9.

The club will be showing action, animation, sing-a-long, chick flicks and romance movies across the five days.

Three films will be screened each day, and among those being shown will be Maleficent, Deadpool, Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, Greatest Showman and Moana.

Pitches for up to three people are priced £20 and those for up to six people are £30. VIP pitches for up to six — including activity bags for kids and waitress service during evening films — are £40.

To stay for a second film will be charged at £5.

Individual tickets are £7 and two-for-one film tickets are £10 per person.

Hot and cold food can be pre-ordered and will be ready for when guests arrive.

Snack and drinks, including an alcohol bar, will also be available on site.

There will also be a series of fun craft sessions for youngsters throughout the week before the first film of the day.

The first will be a Make Magical Wing session between 11.30am and 1pm in August 5.

Then there will be a slime party between 11.30am and 12.30pm on August 6.

And finally a Enchanted Lanterns craft session between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on August 7.
