Urban Outreach has adapted one of its projects to help those who may fall through the net of the free school meal scheme.

The Lunch Project usually provides free lunch packs to families with children who'll lose access to free school meals over the summer holidays.

However, the government has said it'll continue to support those entitled to free school meals by providing vouchers over the summer.

Therefore Bolton Lunches staff and volunteers are now focusing on supporting those who still can't receive those vouchers.

Bolton at Home posted on Facebook: "We and our partners in the Bolton Family also know how important food support is at this time, and that’s why since April we’ve been helping to make and deliver food parcels to people in Bolton that could do with a helping hand.

"If you're struggling, are unable to access the government’s voucher scheme, and have children in school, please contact the Local Welfare Provision team at Bolton Council on 01204 332772."
