WELCOME to The Pub of the Week.

Each week we take a look at one pub or bar that’s at the heart of the community and ask publicans to answer our Q and A.

If you’d like to nominate your local then please email, simone.okane@newsquest.co.uk.

The best thing about running a pub is...

Meeting new people and making friends with the customers.

We are based in the town centre and have lots of regulars and we also see plenty of new faces.

Oldham has improved significantly over the past two years and we can’t praise the police enough. There’s a huge police presence in Yorkshire Street on Friday and Saturday nights and the Pubwatch scheme has also made a lot of difference to the town centre.

The worst thing about running a pub is...

The long hours and moaning customers.

There’s all the things that go on behind the scenes like stock takes and cleaning. People don’t see everything that goes on and it is hard work.

The perfect hangover cure is...

A maccies breakfast, for me!

Opening hours: 12 noon til 11pm.
