HOUSING tennants are being invited to get snapping and capture what life is like across Bury in 2020.

Six Town Housing has launched a new photography competition encouraging people to send in images showing what community means to them.

The housing association said that, despite the challenging times we have faced during the coronvirus pandemic, the borough has pulled together and displayed much to be proud of.

Among the possible ideas suggested by Six Town Housing are photos of people supporting the NHS, volunteering to help vulnerable neighbours and finding creative ways to stay entertained.

A Six Town Housing spokesman said: “There have been many challenges this year, but there is a lot to show that communities and households have worked together to overcome these.

"This year will go down in history and we want to capture these positive moments to remind ourselves and help document them for future generations.”

The competition is open to all people living in properties managed by the housing association.

Entries will be added to an online gallery, and four submissions will be selected at random to win £25 online shopping vouchers.

The deadline for entries is August 28.
