A man is being sought by police in connection with an incident in which another man had petrol poured all over him and was threatened to be set on fire.

Officers in Lancashire are appealing for information on the whereabouts of 24-year-old Curtis Fox, who is wanted in connection with a number of offences, including threats to kill, assault, criminal damage, driving without insurance and unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle (UTMV).

In one incident, which took place on Glebe Road in Skelmersdale on July 23, a man had petrol poured over him through his car window, and was threatened to be set on fire.

Police are now urging people not to approach Fox if they see him as he could be carrying weapons, but instead to contact police with information.

Det Ch Insp Richard McCutcheon, of Lancashire Police, said: “Fox is wanted by police in connection with a number of serious offences.

“We believe he is currently in the Skelmersdale area and would appeal to anyone who knows where he is to contact us.

“Any information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence.”

Anyone with information can call 101.
