EXTRA security advice has been offered to Bury schools after two traveller encampments arrived at educational establishments in a week.
Eight caravans and cars which had been parked at Mersey Drive Primary in Whitefield on Sunday and Monday have now moved off.
But their brief arrival resulted in litter being left behind which now has to be removed.
The camp followed on from a similar incident at Radcliffe Hall Methodist Primary last week.
Council officials, on each occasion, had to secure an order from Manchester Magistrates Court for the interlopers removal.
A Bury Council spokesman has confirmed that "detailed security advice" has now been issued to the borough's primary and secondary schools.
He added: "The travellers have now moved off Mersey Drive and we are helping the school to secure the site and arrange a clean-up, as there is a large amount of waste including gas bottles."
