Three men have been charged after a cannabis factory worth more than a million pounds was uncovered by police.
Officers discovered the haul, which contained more than 3,500 plants over nine rooms, hidden behind a huge dividing wall within an industrial unit.
Information from members of the public had been shared with the Preston neighbourhood policing team who then attended the unit just off Brook Street in the town.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Hidden behind a huge dividing wall with entry only through a small secluded hatch officers located a substantial cannabis cultivation.
"The grow consisted of nine rooms and over 3,500 cannabis plants of varying sizes, with a street value exceeding one million pounds."
Sgt John Lovick, of Preston Police said: “This was a substantial find which was a direct result of intelligence provided by the community and we are grateful for the information.
"We will continue to act on concerns and information provided by the public and anyone who wants to report anything to us can contact us on 101 or online.”
Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
