AN inquest has opened into the death of a 35-year-old man from Bury.
David James Morley was found dead by police officers at his home in Sefton Drive on August 3.
At Rochdale Coroner's Court, police coroner's officer Jane Scullion said that Mr Morley, who last worked as a carer, had been found at his home. There were no suspicious circumstances.
Mr Morley's partner had left the house a few days earlier following a minor disagreement, although the pair still remained in contact, the hearing heard.
Mr Morley had told his partner that he had an interview and told her not to go to his as he "wanted to get his head straight" in preparation.
However, once she contacted the company on the day of the interview and was told he hadn't attended, police were called.
Officers then forced entry and found Mr Morley's body.
A full inquest is set to begin at a later date.
