SUPERSTAR youngsters at Elms Bank special school in Whitefield had plenty to celebrate as they collected their GCSE results.

Among the school's GCSE recipients was Harry Hughes who achieved five GCSEs in English, Maths, Product Design, Food and Art, as well as BTECs

Pictured are his classmates, Tom Stephens, who achieved one GCSE in Product Design along with entry levels and BTECs, and Liam O' Halloran, who achieved three GCSEs in Product Design, Art and Maths.

Assistant headteacher Nicola Pemberton said: "I would like to say a huge congratulations to all of the Year 11 students.

"In what has been a challenging few months our students have shown a profound level of resilience and aspiration in continuing to work towards their qualifications.

"I have really enjoyed working with every single one of these amazing students.

"Furthermore our subject leaders and teachers should be recognised for their continued hard work and dedication to our students."
