A FINANCIAL advisor has appeared in court charged with his alleged involvement in a £500,000 fraud.
Christopher Summers, 59, has been accused of not acting in the best interests of Margery Parkinson between dates in August 2016 and April 2019.
Summers, formerly of Longsight Road, Ramsbottom, but now of Walmsley Road, Bury, is also charged with two further offences of fraud by false representation.
The first allegation centres on a loan sought to buy a share in Howards Financial Advisors.
And the second relates to seeking a loan from another alleged victim, Manchester magistrates were told.
Defence solicitor Laura Walmsley confirmed the charges related to a fraud involving more than £500,000 and more time would be needed to study case papers.
No pleas were entered to the three allegations by Summers, who was remanded on unconditional bail to reappear at the same court on October 21.
