A BODY has been found in the search for a missing teenager from Bury.
Matthew Young, 17, was last seen in Broad Street in Bury town centre at around 2.30pm on Wednesday.
Police said he failed to return home after attending college for the day and described it as being 'out of character'.
Earlier today, an appeal was issued as concerns grew for the teenager.
Officers searching for Matthew announced this evening that they had found a body.
Formal identification has not yet taken place and said that they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Matthew was described in an earlier appeal as a white, 6ft tall male, of slim build with ginger hair and glasses.
He was last seen wearing a green jacket, dark jeans, black boots and had a black ruck sack.
