A CONVENIENCE store in Old Hall was burgled in the early hours of Monday.

The Spar shop on Old Hall Road was targeted during a break-in at around 2am on September 14.

Police were informed of an alarm having been activated at the premises, with officers discovering the burglary after attending the scene.

Nobody was present in the store, and it is believed that no items were taken during the incident.

Cheshire Police’s enquiries are ‘ongoing’, but it is believed that three men entered the shop before fleeing.

A force spokesman said: “Shortly before 2am on Monday, September 14, police were informed of an alarm having been activated at a convenience store off Old Hall Road.

“Officers attended and discovered that the store had been broken into.

“No-one was inside the store, and nothing is believed to have been stolen.

“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing.

“The enquiries that have been carried out so far have established that three males broke into the store.

“They fled before officers had arrived.”
