Police spotted a car blocking a bus lane on Deane Road this morning, only to find the driver was busy picking up a takeaway.
Officers came across the Audi parked in a bus lane, making it unusable for any buses travelling into the town centre.
The driver was found ordering food in a local takeaway nearby.
Police issued the driver with a Traffic Offence Report for obstructing the road.
Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers on patrol in the Bolton area came across this vehicle which was parked in the bus lane on Deane Road causing inconvenience for buses travelling towards the town centre.
"Driver located in local takeaway ordering food and did not see what the issue was and became abusive.
"Traffic Offence Report issued for obstruction of the highway."
