A CHILD was hit by a car at a junction in Bury last night, Tuesday.

Police were sent to the junction of Rochdale Old Road and Willow Street at around 8.20pm following the collision.

The child is currently being given treatment.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 20.22 hours this evening (Tuesday, October 13) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Rochdale Old Road and Willow Street, Bury.

"A child, who was a pedestrian, was injured by a vehicle and is currently receiving medical treatment.

"The driver was spoken to at the scene.

"No arrests have been made at this time.

"The investigation is ongoing."
