A DRIVER had their car seized in Bury - after telling officers they had insured their vehicle via Snapchat.
Notwithstanding its popularity, police discovered the picture sharing app had fallen short on its car insurance capabilities - as the driver had none.
The car was subsequently seized by police officers and the driver was summoned to appear in court.
GMP Traffic said: "If you really fancy having one of our many #traffic stickers put on your car then having no insurance after allegedly insuring via someone on Snapchat is the right way to get one.
"This one seized from Bury by #RPUwest and driver summoned to court."
