One more death from coronavirus has been recorded at The Royal Bolton hospital, according to official figures released by NHS England.
This brings the total number of patients who have succumbed to the virus in the hospital to 264 since the pandemic began.
A further 178 people in Bolton has tested positive for covid-19, bringing the total number of cases recorded in the borough to 7,171, resulting in a cumulative rate 2,493.8 per 100,000 of the population.
In the North West there have been 4,005 new cases of the virus, making a total of 147,641 of cases since the outbreak started.
In the UK there have been 150 further deaths with 28 days of a positive coronavirus test, resulting in a total of 43,579 deaths due to the virus.
There have been 16,171 new cases of coronavirus in the UK, bringing the total number of cases to 705,428.
