Coronavirus infections in Bolton continue to rise as over 1,000 test positive in last week
THE NUMBER of people infected with the coronavirus continues to grow.
A total of 8,771 people in Bolton have now tested positive for covid-19 since the start of the outbreak in March, with 1,366 people catching the virus in the last seven days.
According the figures released by the Government, this means that the infection rate in Bolton over the last seven days stands at 475 cases per 100,000 people.
Nationally 7,850 people who have tested positive for the virus are in hospital, 743 of whom are on ventilators.
A total of 336 people from Bolton have now died after contracting covid-19.
