The fire service attended a fire at a takeaway in Bury last night.
A fire engine from both Bury and Whitefield fire stations were called to a takeaway in Parkhills Road around midnight last night.
Part of an extractor was found to be alight with the fire service in attendance for around an hour controlling the blaze.
Bury fire station watch manager Rick Taylor said that the blaze was well controlled and did not spread past the extractor.
He said: "We managed to put out the fire with just an extinguisher so it did not spread to the rest of the building.
"Thankfully this also meant there was minimal damage."
