THE M60 anticlockwise exit slip road at Junction 17, Prestwich, has been reopened after it was closed due to flooding.
Traffic officers were called to the area after the carriageway was affected by heavy flooding this morning shortly after 8.30am.
Traffic was held between 9.05am and 9.20am while the closure was being put in place, which has led to some congestion.
Transport for Greater Manchester said: "The M60 anticlockwise exit slip road at J17 is closed. This is due to flooding in the carriageway."
At around 8.45am Highways England Tweeted: "The M60 anticlockwise exit slip road at J17 (Manchester, Prestwich, Whitefield, A56) is in the process of being closed due to flooding in the carriageway. Traffic officers are currently at the scene."
At approximately 12pm Highways England Tweeted: "J17 anticlockwise exit on the M60 has now reopened."
