RESIDENTS, businesses and agencies are being invited to take part in webinars and have their say on Bury’s draft housing strategy.

Consultation runs until February 22 on what kind of homes Bury will need for people of all ages and for future generations.

The wide-ranging strategy will look at the quality and affordability of housing, in the context of economic growth, climate change, infrastructure and neighbourhoods.

Two webinars have been arranged for people to discuss the issues contained in the strategy and to give their views. One is just for residents of Bury, and the other is for stakeholders (such as businesses, developers, community groups, health and care providers and other partner agencies).

For residents – Tuesday, February 2 at 6pm. To register your place, go to eventbrite.co.uk/e/bury-draft-housing-strategy-webinar-for-residents-tickets-135271098497

For stakeholders – Wednesday, February 3 at 6pm. To register, go to eventbrite.co.uk/e/bury-draft-housing-strategy-webinar-for-stakeholders-tickets-135274259953

Councillor Clare Cummins, cabinet member for housing services, said: “It’s essential that Bury has the right amount of high-quality housing of the right type and in the right places to meet the current and future needs of our communities.

“I urge residents and stakeholders to join the consultation and take part in these webinars so we can get it right, both in the immediate future and for many generations to come.”
