A GANG of men forced their way into a shop before breaking into a cashpoint and stealing money.

Police were called to the Co-Op shop on Mile Lane in Bury at around 5.20am yesterday following reports of a burglary.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) it was discovered that three men had broken into the shop, which was closed, and took a quantity of cash from the store's cashpoint.

No arrests have been made.

A GMP spokesman said: "At around 5.20am on Monday, February 15 police were called to reports of a burglary at a store on Mile Lane, Bury.

"Enquiries have established that three men forced entry to the store, which was closed at the time, before making off with an amount of cash which they had taken from an ATM machine located inside the store.

"No arrests have been made and an investigation is underway."
