A MAN has been arrested in Radcliffe after police officers found two large knives in the car he was driving illegally.
Officers from the Radcliffe Area Team made the arrest on Monday, March 1 during a patrol through the area.
Writing on the GMP Bury North Facebook page, an officer said: "On Monday, March 1 members of the Radcliffe area team were on patrol in your community when a vehicle has been stopped and two large knives with six to seven inch blades have been found and recovered.
"Although no drugs were found on this occasion, these knives could have caused some serious injuries and are a real concern therefore have been taken off the streets.
"The vehicle was also seized and taken off the road as the driver was disqualified from driving. A male was arrested and inquiries are still ongoing."
