POLICE officers have made an arrest after discovering a cannabis farm.
On Tuesday, March 2, officers from the Radcliffe Neighbourhood Team and Special Constabulary conducted a S23 Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant on a property on York Street, Radcliffe.
Officers found a cannabis farm and approximately 40 plants.
A spokesperson for GMP Bury North said: "Cannabis production is often related to serious and violent crime and will be taken earnestly by local officers.
"Officers will always act on information reported to the police regarding drugs, and we would encourage members of the public to report drugs issues in the community.
"Officers in Radcliffe will continue to pursue sources of crime, such as cannabis farms.
"The property had been bypassing the electricity system. This is a very dangerous fire hazard for the occupant and the neighbouring properties on the street.
"The occupant was immediately arrested on suspicion of production of a Class B drug and abstracting electricity."
