MORE than 50 vehicles were stopped and two people were arrested during a crackdown on road safety in Bury.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Constabulary officers carried out an operation on Sunday which saw 53 vehicles stopped, two arrests and two cars seized.
A total of 33 drivers were reported for various offences too.
A GMP Special Constabulary spokesman added: "Another multi-function road safety op in Bury where 16 of our officers gave up their Sunday helping ensure your roads are safe."
GMP Specials are volunteer officers, who give up their spare time to help the force with policing.
Meanwhile, a car was stopped by police on Rochdale Road in Bury last night.
Police said the driver had a provisional licence and no insurance.
It was seized and the driver was reported.
