TRIBUTES have been paid to a former headteacher whose contribution to Bury was "immeasurable".
Mike Pinder was headteacher at Tottington Primary School for 26 years before his retirement in 2012.
The school announced today (Monday, April 5) that Mr Pinder sadly died on Easter Saturday.
A spokesperson for the school said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the death on Easter Saturday of former headteacher of TPS, Michael Pinder. Mike was headteacher at Tottington Primary School for 26 years until his retirement in 2012.
"Mike's contribution to the school, Tottington village and the whole of Bury was immeasurable. He is remembered fondly by current and former staff and pupils alike. Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife, Sue, and his many friends."
