A 42-year-old man has been charged after an elderly woman was robbed in Whitefield.
Lovemore Mandega, of Church Drive, Prestwich has been charged with robbery and two counts of assaulting a police officer while resisting arrest.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Tuesday, April 6 2021).
At 8.55am on Sunday, March 28, a woman in her 70s was robbed of her mobile phone and bank card on Rectory Green, Whitefield, while returning home after receiving her Covid-19 jab.
The woman wasn’t injured but was left very shaken, according to police officers.
