RAMSBOTTOM residents have been warned by police following a the theft of a "high value" car in the village.
Tweeting from Greater Manchester Police's Bury North account, a spokesman warned residents to "put their keys out of sight" in order to help prevent car thefts.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in the Rochdale area.
The post read: "Ramsbottom residents - Alert.
"Please can residents find a safe place to put their car keys out of sight to help prevent car thefts.
"Recently there has been a break in at a Ramsbottom property. Keys were stolen along with a high value car.
"The vehicle was found abandoned in the Rochdale area."
