THE M60 anticlockwise from J25 in Bredbury to J24 at Denton Island has been closed after a 'sudden snow flurry' led to a vehicle pile up this morning.
The crash happened at around 8am on Saturday morning, police said that the snow led to numerous collisions.
Highways England have advised people to avoid the area as traffic had to be stopped to deal with the incident.

Emergency services are on the scene helping those involved, it is believed only minor injuries were sustained.
A diversion has been set up by Highway England with drivers advised to follow the diversion symbol.
The road is expected to reopen at around 11.15am.
