Bess O'The Barns tram stop, Whitefield
A MAN was found in possession of drugs near a tram stop in Bury yesterday.
Police officers attended a scene near Bess O'The Barns tram stop yesterday after reports of a suspicious male in the immediate area.
He was quickly traced and a large amount of drugs were found on his person.
A Greater Manchester Spokesperon for Bury South said: "Yesterday a 47-year-old man was arrested after reports of a suspicious male near Bess O'The Barns tram stop.
"The male was located and found to be in possession of a large quantity of drugs. The male will be questioned in due course and investigations are ongoing."
