Tottington Clinic, 1971
Fifty mums launched a campaign in 1971 for a better child care centre in Tottington.
The clinic was housed in a small wooden building in Kirklees Street which was so cramped that baby weigh-in sessions shared the space with staff working in the same room and schoolchildren were receiving treatment.
