PRO-Palestinian protesters have continued their demo for a second day on the roof of a factory in Runcorn.
Members of Palestine Action raided the premises of APPH, on Pembroke Court, at around 4.30am yesterday, Thursday.
They claim that the site produces landing gear for Elbit drones which have been used in the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.
Cheshire police were called to the scene yesterday after red paint was splattered across exterior walls and flares were set off.
As the protest continues today, eye-witnesses claim to have seen fire extinguishers being thrown through the factory roof as well as damage to the skylights.
A force spokesman said: ‘‘Officers from Cheshire Constabulary remain at the scene of an incident taking place at an industrial premises in the Manor Park area of Runcorn.
‘‘We are working hard to safely bring the incident to a conclusion and where offences have been committed, bring any offenders to justice.
‘‘The officers are on hand to ensure that access for emergency vehicles is maintained and to try to keep any disruption to a minimum.’’
