LANCASHIRE Wildlife Trust is offering the chance to learn more about bees and what we need to do to protect them.
A 'Bee Walk' will take place on Saturday (June 26) at Philips Park in Prestwich with experts on hand to talk about bees and the major threats they face.
The meeting point will be outside The Barn in Philips Park starting at 11am and finishing at 1pm.
A spokesperson said: "Bees are key insect species that allow the well functioning of natural cycles. But bees are disappearing at alarming rates and they need us to protect them.
"This is an outdoor activity. Don't forget to bring comfortable and adequate clothes according to the weather forecast. Boots are recommended. Bring your water bottle and snacks to stay hydrated and full of energy throughout the walk."
The walk is not suitable for those with limited mobility.
The event is limited to 20 participants and places can be booked online at lancswt.org.uk. Call 07596888332 for more information.
