These people have all received bans after being caught drug or drink driving

A WOMAN has been banned from driving for 12 months after she was found to have used cannabis. Manchester magistrates heard how Julia Suthers, aged 43, of Gorsebank, Bury, tested positive for the drug when she drove a Ford Ka in Rochdale, on November 14 last year. Suthers pleaded guilty to drug-driving and also having no insurance for the car. She was fined £120 plus £119 in costs and charges.

A RANGE Rover driver who had drunk double the legal level of alcohol has been banned from the roads for 20 months. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Paul Henderson, aged 55, of Tottington Road, Bury, pleaded guilty to drink driving on Market Street, Tottington, on May 22. He was electronically tagged and made subject to a 9pm to 6am curfew for eight weeks and was ordered to pay £180 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have banned a driver, who had been using cannabis, from the roads for 12 months. At Manchester Magistrates Court Adam Nortley, aged 27, of Wheatfield Close, Bury, admitted drug-driving and speeding in an Audi TT on Bury Road, Radcliffe, on December 13 last year. He was fined £323 plus £119 in costs and charges.

A MAN caught drink driving also had no insurance, a court heard. Manchester magistrates were told how Bartlomiej Wanego, aged 40, of Richard Burch Street, Bury, was stopped driving a Vauxhall Combo van on Chorley New Road, Lostock, Bolton, on December 10 last year. Wanego pleaded guilty to drink driving and being uninsured and was banned from the roads for 12 months. He was also fined £125 plus £118 in costs and charges.
