A SECTION of Bury New Road in Prestwich remains closed in both directions after a sinkhole opened up in the carriageway yesterday.
It is sealed after the sinkhole emerged in the road between Richmond Avenue and Buckingham Road on Friday afternoon.
It has been reported that traffic is "coping well" despite the problem.
