We’ve a bit of a mystery photograph which we hope readers might be able to shed more light on.

The caption on the back simply says ‘The Mosses, Bury, 1963’. Clearly taken from an elevated position, you can see a lot of demolition has taken place with terraces having been cleared leaving just the roads behind.

Can anyone identify the imposing building in the foreground? And why are there three buses parked on the waste ground? If you can help, email bygones@nqnw.co.uk
