All young people in Bury can now get a Covid-19 vaccination.
Bury’s three main vaccination centres - Elizabethan Suite in Bury, Ramsbottom Civic Hall and Prestwich Walk-in Centre are offering walk-in first doses of Pfizer, no appointment needed.
New figures show that 131,940 people in Bury have had one dose of the vaccine, and 117,900 of them have both jabs.
Eligible residents are asked to get vaccinated and drive the number above 249,840.
Second doses are offered at least eight weeks after the first dose.
Patients may be offered their second jab earlier but only to avoid wastage or due to specific medical conditions.
Children and young people aged 12 and over with co-morbidities, along with those living with people who are immuno-suppressed, will also be offered the vaccine.
Parents and carers will soon be contacted shortly about the availability of bookable clinics.
