A BURY housing landlord is launching a new Facebook based video series covering events from its communities.

Entitled Community TV, Six Town Housing’s new series was first broadcast on September 8, featuring interviews about services offered by the Bolton and Bury branch of the Citizen's Advice Bureau.

Some of the footage includes a tour of Victoria Community Allotment in Whitefield and a summary of the improvements the firm has made to their facilities.

It also features Tina Harrison discussing a new instalment of the Friendly Bench, a community bench aimed at reducing social isolation, and her work with Trinity food bank in Radcliffe.

Sharon McCambridge, the landlord's chief executive, said: "These videos aim to showcase the hard work of our TRAs have done over the past year supporting their communities and provide a way for their upcoming news and events to be featured.

“We’d like to bring the community together and encourage our tenants to get involved with what’s happening in their neighbourhoods.”

The video was produced entirely by staff following the success of their Community Heroes broadcast earlier this year, which reached over 4,000 people.
