THIRTEEN Lostock AC members turned out on the eve of Hallowe’en to take part in the inaugural Haigh Fright Night 10k race.

Complete with head torches, the athletes ran across muddy trails and slippery rocky paths in the woods of Haigh Woodland Park with some hill climbs thrown in for good measure.

It all finished in front of the spookily illuminated hall.

First home for Lostock was Gareth Pratt in 49mins 6 secs, placing him fifth MV40 and 25th overall.

He was followed home by Andy Laycock in 49:47 for 29th place and fifth MV50.
