A MAN who was arrested after a car was stolen has now pleaded guilty and is due for sentencing.

Leon Worsley, 20 of Le Gendre Street, Tonge Moor, was arrested by police in Bolton after a car was stolen in Bury on November 20.

The stolen Skoda Octavis was eventually found on Cartmel Crescent, Tonge Moor.

A police spokesperson said: "Leon Worsley of Le Gendre Street, Tonge Moor was charged with the following offences, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and breach of bail.

"He was remanded in police custody over the weekend and appeared at Wigan Magistrates' Court today."

Having pleaded guilty to all charges has now been remanded in prison to appear at Bolton Crown Court for sentencing on Thursday December 23.
