Former Bury Grammar School student Jay Broadhurst, is preparing to perform at Bury Parish Church's lunchtime concert on Friday, accompanied by Marc Murray on the piano.
Currently in his second year of study at the Royal Northern College of Music, he discovered his love of playing the violin and singing at a young age.
An avid speaker of German and practitioner of the art form known as Lieder, which he learned under the esteemed teacher, Matthew Best, Jay hopes to live and perform in Germany.
Jay said: "Lieder is a very unique art form which lends itself to really emotional storytelling."
The concert begins at 12.45pm and the £5 admission can be paid at the door, with refreshments going on sale at 11.45am.
