AN INVESTIGATION is underway after three balaclava clad burglars broke into a house and threatened a man with a knife.

The burglars broke into the home on Ulundi Street, Radcliffe in the early hours of Thursday December 30 where they restrained one of the occupants and demanded cigarettes.

Police were called at around 5.15am, by which time the men had left, and a 39-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Detective Inspector Alison Witkiewicz from GMP's Bury District said: "This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim, and also very concerning for the community.

"We are investigating and additional officers will be visable in the area as we continue to carry out enquiries."

CCTV footage shows the three burglars running along the back of Ulundi Street, and along Abden Street in the direction of Coomassie Street after leaving the scene.

No arrests have yet been made with police hoping to anyone who may have seen anything in the area at the time, or may have Ring Doorbell or CCTV footage.

DI Witkiewicz said: "We believe there were a fair amount of people in the area at the time, and we're keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything, or have DashCam, or CCTV footage that could help our enquiries."
