A road will be closed in Smithills at the start of next month whilst sewer works take place.
Lightbounds Road will be closed from February 7 for approximately two days.
The closure will prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Lightbounds Road from Moss Lane to Cinder Lane to allow sewer works to take place.
Alternative routes are in place for travel, these include Montserrat Road, Chorley Old Road and Moss Bank Way.
To ensure waste and recycling bins are emptied during the works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point.
Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the closures may cause.
