This week’s winner in the Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is Mary Cooke, who works at East Lancashire Railway in Bury town centre.

Mary has two tickets per week in the draw and it’s her second ticket, number 22053, that was the lucky winner. Congratulations.

Leanne decided to go down to ELR’s head office to see if Mary was in and we were in luck.

We were greeted by the lovely Mark who helped us with the surprise.

Mary was lost for words when she saw the giant £2,000 cheque. Mary joined the draw as she thought it was a great idea as it’s a not-for-profit initiative, just like ELR.

Mary has worked for East Lancs Railway for nearly five years in the finance department and she loves it. The winnings are going towards a holiday to Greece that she’s booked with the family this year.

East Lancs has more than 800 volunteers that help throughout the year and they are incredibly proud of the great support from the local community in continuing the rich heritage that the ELR have to offer.

The Made in Bury Weekly £2,000 Draw is a not-for-profit initiative with funds raised from the draw supporting start-up businesses in Bury with training and interest-free loans.

There are only 2,400 tickets available and for just £2 per ticket per week, you have a chance to win £2,000 every Wednesday. It’s easy to join via standing order or direct debit. For more information about the draw contact Leanne on 07494185595 or email weeklydraw@madeinbury.co.uk
