A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy from Bury has completed a 10-mile walk to help people from Ukraine amid the humanitarian crisis unfolding there.

Ben Kluj has raised more than £800 for Ukrainians after completing the coastal trail in Whitby, which he started with his family at the weekend.

The youngster, who goes to St Michaels RC Primary in Whitefield, completed the walk with his mum Katherine, grandma Jane and grandad Alf over two days and finished on Monday.

He is celebrating today, Tuesday, with a day in Whitby, getting fish and chips and going to the arcade.

His family said they are all hugely proud of him for completing the walk and that he deciding to raise money for people in Ukraine.

The money raised will be going to the Mail Force Ukraine Appeal charity.
