UNSWORTH Post Office will reopen at its previous location after nearly a year of being closed.

The branch on 73 Parr Lane was shut temporarily in May last year "due to operational reasons" but it will welcome customers again on Monday morning at 9am.

The opening hours have also been extended.

A temporary postmaster will run the service and the store will be open from 9am to 5.30pm from Mondays to Fridays and 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.

Post Office network lead, Dave Hunt said: “We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to Unsworth as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.

"The longer opening hours will make it very convenient to visit.”
