A community festival in Tottington is back after being interrupted for the past two years due to coronavirus restrictions.

Tottington’s Big Day out will once again be held on Sunday, July 3 from 12pm to 6pm with all the usual attractions.

They will include six bands on stage, a full bar, a kid zone, an inflatable castle, playgrounds, stalls and a selection of food.

The first of the six bands have also been announced – Rio Gold, who are a Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet tribute band.

The festival will be at Crompton Meadows, Beryl Avenue, Tottington and more announcements on bands and stalls will follow.

Last year, due to the pandemic, they launched Tottington’s Little Day Out where they encouraged people to have a little music festival in their back garden or on the street with neighbours which proved to be popular.

Many people are excited that the festival is back and are looking forward to it returning this summer.
